The Flu blues

I hate the Flu like nothing else! I would rather have a terrible cold than have the flu. Ewwww! While I was laying on the couch after church...because I didn't feel well, I found that I had a little friend for company.

What a sweet heart!! At first I thought she was being so cute. A couple of weeks ago she had the flu and then on Friday night and Saturday morning she had it again. This was Sunday and she had been doing much better. I noticed that she put her towel down(something she learned from me after I would do it for her on other occasions) and I thought she was just trying to be like her Mommy since she too had been sick the day before. Too bad for both of us she was really sick AGAIN and we both were miserable until Tuesday. Actually we are still not 100% and it is Wed.

The soccer champ!

Rieley had her first soccer practice today. This was her uniform. She will get a real one sometime before the first game and out of excitement we actually bought her another one to use until then(Morgan too although she is too young to play this year...she got really excited about Rieley's and wondered about her own). But, since we are in Utah and the weather can be cold until June, Rieley had to wear this. Too bad that this wasn't even warm enough. There were a lot of cold kids and parents at the soccer practice.

Wahoo!!!! You go girl!

Rieley did really good here. She was leading everyone and had made contact with the ball a few times.

Potty training at it's finest

I really haven't been ready to potty train Leyton yet. It was more work than I wanted to do and so I was putting it off. She only turned two a few months ago...come on. It seems that Leyton didn't want to wait for me. So we have been letting her run around naked and she has been doing really good. She is much more motivated than her mother is. She gets so excited that I can't help but........help.

She also has a very cute pink potty that we bought her, that she LOVES, but it was moved downstairs for easier access while she plays or watches t.v. Way to go!!!

It's warming up!!!!!

Okay, so no one wants to look at me when I try to take cute pictures. Atleast I'll know what clothes they picked out and how no matter how many times I do their hair...it gets taken out. Maybe that is only Morgan who does that. Rieley does like to dress herself now and sometimes her idea of a "Hannah Montana" style outfit just doesn't look very good. Pick your battles, right!?

Rieley is my biggest opposition to the pictures. She told me that she hates pictures. I tried to nicely explain to her that it is fun to look back and see the things we did when we were five. She still opposed. So, with a little more sterness, I explained that Mommy wants to have pictures of her five year old daughter. No dice! I got angry and flat out told her, "I will take pictures and you will let me because I say so."...........as she ran away. I think that it worked.

Atleast there is one little girl that still does what her Mommy says, most of the time.

The Plumber is in.

Morgan has found her calling in life. We have all known for a very long time......the signs have always been clear. You may think that crack kills, but there will be many people, weighed down heavily with the stress of stopped up toilets, whose lives will be saved thanks to Morgan. It is her calling and we as her family will just have to get used to seeing that crack peeking out at us above the horizon.

After the pipes get fixed, Morgan and Rieley will then decorate your kitchen or bathroom with lovely ribbon. You may not be able to open the cupboards...or even get the ribbon off, but you can't beat service like this. And you wonder why my house always looks the way it does.

This skill is being passed on from generation to generation.
