UTAH!

Okay, so we visited Utah for our "house hunting" trip. It was so much fun. We stayed busy for the whole trip, but we enjoyed every minute of it. Our vacation really was a vacation. How often does that happen?? Anyhow, I'll explain the pictures. At the top Rieley is sitting with her friend(or "cousin" as they like to say)Skyler. He is trying to give her a kiss...which is cute for now, but don't even think about it when she's 16, or 18 or 30. Then there is Morgan with her friend(or "cousin") Gracie. They had a lot of fun. On Saturday we went to Temple Square to be tourists. Then we met with almost the whole family at a park. This was the first time in at least 6 years that all but one(I won't name names, Josh)were there. It was tons of fun...even without Josh and Becky.

All in all we are happy to be moving back to Utah. It has been a long time and there are many friends to find and many good times to be had.

camping

camping

This is our last camping trip in Arizona. The weather was getting hot in Arizona City and we were ready to hit the great outdoors. So we called our friends and hit the road. We drove about three hours to get up north of Payson, AZ. The temps were in the 80's during the day and in the 50's at night. The girls played and treasure hunted while we all just hung around. I'll tell you what though, sleeping at camp with little kids in the cold is no fun. They move around and kick off their blankets. Todd and I would keep waking up just to see if they were covered. The first night Leyton (who wasn't quite feeling right) woke up and wouldn't stop crying. She wouldn't take her bottle(which couldn't be warmed in any way) and she wouldn't take her binki. She also would not let me cover her with her blanket. I was freezing standing there out side of my covers much less a little baby. It was about 5 minutes before she finally let me lay her back down and then she slept the rest of the night. I had to go over in my mind what on earth I was going to do with her if she didn't stop. It was too cold to go out and get in the car....and where would I go once I was in it? Then, yes there is more, the next day Morgan had a fever and was very mellow the whole day. Luckily she wasn't whiny. That night we changed sleeping arrangements and although everyone slept through the night...Leyton kept rolling around and she was next to me. Rieley kept kicking off her blankets and Morgan kept talking in her sleep. So I slept worse that night than the night before. Then we packed up and drove home. Talk about exhausting, but fun too(other than sleeping).

Morgan's 3rd birthday

We had a little birthday party for Morgan at the last minute. I hadn't decided what I wanted to do...and whether I really felt like having a party with friends or not. But because she is three...and because I happened to be babysitting some of her friends that night, I decided to invite a few more and make it a party. She's only three, she doesn't care. As long as her friends come over to play.

We did have a good time...and it is always nice when it is over. Next year we'll plan something spectacular.
