My first Conference!

I have grown up in Utah and have never attended a General Conference before. I have seen my fair share, but it was long over due to actually go. It is madness there.

We went with our friends Shaun and Liz Hill. Some of you from AZ may know them. They now live in Utah with us and we have been able to hang out quite a bit.

All of Conference is good, but this one was excellent!! It does make a difference being there. No kids to distract you, no blanket and couch to tempt you to sleep, no phone calls or bathroom breaks........and the Prophet staring you down when he senses that you are not paying attention. Okay the last may not actually happen, but I don't want to find out.

Crazy girls

Raaaaarrrrrrrr.......................

Morgan, what are you wearing??? Or what aren't you wearing?

This is a house full of girls. We filled the living room with all the barbie stuff we(I) could carry.

Leyton just likes to be silly so as we were getting ready for church there was a soft,"Daddy wook..........hat!" from the hallway. She gets such a kick out of the silly things she does.

Mission reunion

Just as we were getting ready for our date night on Friday, Todds' old mission buddy called. He was on his way from Idaho down to Provo for the reunion and wondered if Todd was going too. Not exactly the date I had in mind, but something we couldn't miss. It was 5:15 and we needed to be in Provo(1 1/2 hours away) by 7:00. I had to call the babysitter and cancel until another day(I never like to cancel a babysitter!!!) and we had to get the girls and other things ready pronto. It was a rush and a little hectic, but we got there and had a good time....especially Todd. next time I will keep the babysitter and opt not to chase the kids around the church gym while talks were being given.

Work it, Girl!

We got a new camera so I had to try it out. Leyton was looking so pretty in her church clothes so we went crazy. Morgan and Rieley were both downstairs and that is why there are so many of Leyton and only one of them. Not that they haven't had millions of photo shoots that Leyton couldn't attend due to "nap time"......they can't complain, it was Leyton's turn for the spot light. Plus, didn't Rieley tell me that she hates pictures!? It seems that she has no problem posing when her Dad holds the camera...........this is just a preview of our Mother/Daughter relationship in the teen years, I know it. WHY???? How sad it will be when they hate me!

The Flu blues

I hate the Flu like nothing else! I would rather have a terrible cold than have the flu. Ewwww! While I was laying on the couch after church...because I didn't feel well, I found that I had a little friend for company.

What a sweet heart!! At first I thought she was being so cute. A couple of weeks ago she had the flu and then on Friday night and Saturday morning she had it again. This was Sunday and she had been doing much better. I noticed that she put her towel down(something she learned from me after I would do it for her on other occasions) and I thought she was just trying to be like her Mommy since she too had been sick the day before. Too bad for both of us she was really sick AGAIN and we both were miserable until Tuesday. Actually we are still not 100% and it is Wed.

The soccer champ!

Rieley had her first soccer practice today. This was her uniform. She will get a real one sometime before the first game and out of excitement we actually bought her another one to use until then(Morgan too although she is too young to play this year...she got really excited about Rieley's and wondered about her own). But, since we are in Utah and the weather can be cold until June, Rieley had to wear this. Too bad that this wasn't even warm enough. There were a lot of cold kids and parents at the soccer practice.

Wahoo!!!! You go girl!

Rieley did really good here. She was leading everyone and had made contact with the ball a few times.

Potty training at it's finest

I really haven't been ready to potty train Leyton yet. It was more work than I wanted to do and so I was putting it off. She only turned two a few months ago...come on. It seems that Leyton didn't want to wait for me. So we have been letting her run around naked and she has been doing really good. She is much more motivated than her mother is. She gets so excited that I can't help but........help.

She also has a very cute pink potty that we bought her, that she LOVES, but it was moved downstairs for easier access while she plays or watches t.v. Way to go!!!
